American rapper Kanye West threatened to sue the owner of a burger in Melbourne, the capital of the Australian state of Victoria. It is reported by DailyMail.
The restaurant itself, whose owner was a big fan of West, was named after the artist’s first album, The College Dropout. The building was decorated with frescoes depicting the artist, and some dishes were named after him.
Lawyers for the 45-year-old rapper threatened the owner of the establishment with a lawsuit, saying that Kanye did not consent to the use of his images and name. The restaurant’s logo has been changed, and the mural with its image has been removed.
Burger owner Mark Elkhuri admitted that he was disappointed by the threat of legal action from the performer, since, according to him, the establishment he created was a “tribute” to the artist.
At the beginning of the summer, the hip-hop artist decided to take a break from his career and not create new music releases for a year.
